Fred King Besides being the father of 1/2 of Missing Vwls ( declaring my bias) I have always loved the music my son has composed and recorded. Very relaxing and does remind me of the drive along Hood Canal.

about

In the early 1960's my great-grandfather built a one-bedroom cabin by hand at the end of a cul-de-sac in a subdivision of moss-covered vacation lots carved into the forest on the Olympic Peninsula, WA. Olympic Canal Tracts sits along the northernmost stretch of Highway 101 where the mountain foothills tumble steeply down into the shellfish beds of the Canal (which isn't technically a canal), a mile south of a tiny town named Brinnon (current pop. ~800). Modernity inevitably intrudes, but in many ways the area remains a serene world of hidden waterfalls, stoic trees, and pristine air. Since leaving the West Coast years ago, the cabin, the landscape, and the drive there from Seattle, have remained consistently in my thoughts. These songs are drawn from those memories.

about

Missing Vwls Brooklyn, New York
